DOVECOTE

DOVECOTE

Amateur dovecots architects handle materials, forms, shapes and dimensions freely and creatively to make small masterpieces. The sun, wind and rain are working in their turn on colour and texture to perfect the structure. This is how pigeon-lofts appear: houses created for take-off ceremonies and for a rendez-vous with the sky.
Presence of reflected and visually interconnected, interpermeated texts and pictures in this work refer to the world behind a mirror, to the world of untapped opportunities, where a man performs his ascensions, take-offs, flights and becomes filled with ideas about the world and himself. This let him make miracles happen.
Contemplating birds, a man becomes free from the laws of gravity and leaves doubts, fears and conventions behind. He stops noticing unclimbable walls, impassable swamps and becomes a “birdman” filled with state of inspiration weightlessness, and joy.
